Day 17 - Walk To Work

Day 17 of rosalilium’s 'blog every day in May' challenge
Walk To Work
(Describe or photograph your walk to work. Or journey to work if you use transport. Is it pretty or incredibly dull? Can you find something of interest on your way?)

My journey to work is about 12 miles and takes about 40 minutes or so by car, depending on the traffic, the weather and if the kiddiwinks are in school.

It goes a little something like this - town roads, village, country lanes, village, farmland, country lanes, main road, city suburbs, woodland drive and finally campus car park.

And it looks a little something like this...

Cherry blossom trees
Gorgeous blossom trees along country lanes!

Andrew driving to work
Luckily (or unluckily if we've had a domestic!) I share my journey to work with Andrew as we both work at the same place. 99% of the time, he does the driving.

Driving to work
Farmland - and a notorious speed camera van location!

More farmland...

Queues into Bath
The first bit of main road - and where we usually hit the queues. During rush hour, no-one is doing anything near 40!

View from Odd Down, Bath towards Bristol
On a good day, you can see across to Bristol city centre.

And into Bath we go...

Trees at Claverton Down
The last leg of our journey - through an avenue of trees

Small dog mascot in the car
And joining us every morning - our own in-car mascot!
