Now my day to day job is usually fairly ordinary - not actually that boring but nothing extra special.
But once a year all of us support staff get together to lounge around around outside for a few hours for a picnic. Most years we have to move the picnic indoors but this year, with the scorcer of a summer we've had, it was perfect weather to sit outside - and really, none of us wanted to go back to work in the afternoon!

My contribution to the picnic was Sausage and Tomato Tart (recipe on Ocado's website) and Banoffee Pie - both of which seemed to go down well.
What made the day even stranger though was a random clothes free-for-all in an office a few doors down. It turned out the sister of one of the girls at work is a complete shopaholic and was clearing out her wardrobe with lots of new stuff she'd never even worn.
So the office along the corridor was turned into a makeshift clothes display with the ladies toilets becoming the changing room. I picked up 2 dresses, 2 necklaces and a playsuit.
Not really sure about the playsuit though, I like wearing it but I'm not sure it's that flattering - and can someone aged 30 can really get away with it? I don't think I'll be wearing it as a fashion statement any time soon, but around the house, the garden and possibly the steam rally field might be okay.

What's the strangest day you've ever had at work?
The playsuit is adorable. You can wear that with tan accessories to make it less tween xx
ReplyDeleteOooh, good idea! Just need the hot and sunny weather to come back now and then I can start wearing it and experiementing :-) x
