Photo an Hour for March (as chosen by myself last month) fell on Saturday 21st - a day that mostly consisted of repairs and housework!
9am - We didn't get back til late on Friday night so it was a lazy lie in on Saturday morning.
10am - Breakfast was on the go, this morning it was a breakfast bagel.
11am - Andrew had finally decided on which shower he wanted to buy so he popped out to Screwfix to buy it and then spread out all the bits on the dining room table.
12pm - We took a break from sorting out shower stuff to have a cuppa and watch the Neighbours 30th reunion programme. Neither me or Andrew have watched it for about 15 years but (like pretty much every teenager) we were huge fans in the late 1980s and 1990s.
1pm - I spy through our front window - lots of daffodils!
2pm - Despite moving into our new bedroom (with new wardrobes) just after Christmas I still haven't finished sorting out all my clothes and moving stuff around. This is just a small part of it, currently scattered all over the bed in our guest bedroom.
3pm - I made Andrew a cup of coffee and delivered it up to where he was working, only to hear a random selection of swear words coming from inside the shower. I went back downstairs and got some chocolate biscuits.
4pm - Afternoon snack for me (and I hope you all have the Gwen Stefani song in your heads now)
5pm - Andrew had finished installing the shower and climbed up into the loft to check on the water pipes (they were okay). The next job is to sort out the tiles and make it all look pretty again.
6pm - Still sorting out clothes (although there had been rather a lot of tea breaks in between). That bottom rail was mostly tops, blouses and vests and worryingly I counted 79 things on it.
7pm - Time to start dinner, Cottage Pie tonight.
8pm - Cottage Pie was cooked, it could have had a little bit longer in the oven to brown but we were both pretty hungry so it was a case of "that'll do".
9pm - We got started watching Houdini, a programme that's been sat on our hard drive since last September.
10pm - Hot chocolate before bedtime using blocks of chocolate as fancy stirrers.
11pm - And just before bed, currently reading...
Lots of people took part again this month (a big thank you to everyone who took part, liked or commented on anything to do with it); Jane's popped the round-up list on her blog and chosen the date for April - Sunday 19th! See you then :-)

Also, check out what I was up to in...
Ooo, I've never tried using blocks of chocolate as a stirrer. I must add that to my good-ideas-to-do list!
ReplyDeleteI've been missed of the list but you can see my post on my blog.

Oh was Houdini any good? I have it recorded at the moment and have been wondering whether to go for it or not - is it the 2 part one with Adrien Brody in it?
ReplyDeleteVery impressed that you live with someone with the skills to put in a shower, I can only marvel!
Sounds like a very proactive day! Mmmmm, hot chocolate with chocolate! Yum, I look forward to chocolate again.x
ReplyDeleteI have Houdini on my list on Netflix, sounds super interesting (and he died in Detroit). I keep meaning to get back into watching Neighbhours, we can get it on Hulu over here (which is like another Netflix).
ReplyDeleteMmm, I love cottage pie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day you had- I finally went through my wardrobes on Sunday! I can't wait for lent to be over... Really missing chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI love how handy your hubby is! So many of your Photo a Day posts involve him fixing something!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a very productive day all round! :)
Ahh DIY drama... luckily we don't have too much of that in our place. Although, I'm usually the one that swears whilst Kris is all coll as a cucumber doing the work! I think he's immune to stress haha.
ReplyDeleteMmm I haven't had cottage pie in ages! I think I'll make something like that for tea next week. Thanks for the idea!
Haha, the Gwen stefani comment made me laugh and that's a genius idea to use chocolate as stirrers! Looks like it was a v.productive day :) x
ReplyDeleteDaffodils popping all over the show are really giving me the spring feeling.Of course it is officially spring, but here in Wales we've had some really mixed weather... But that's just Wales year round. Haha!
ReplyDeleteI have More Than This sitting on my unread shelf. I don't think I'll get round to reading it any time soon as I'm trying to read more from the library this year, but I hear a lot of good things about it.

I love how colourful your wardrobe looks! Mine is 80% black, and the rest is Breton tops. Although I suppose I do jazz it up with my jewellery that's made of Lego :p xxx
ReplyDeleteLove seeing those Daffodils popping up there, they always make me smile! I've not heard of Houdini but it looks interesting, I may have to track it down and find it. I love these posts! - Tasha
