This Weekend at the Duckpond

We have mostly been...

Celebrating - getting my plaster cast off with a meal at a local pub. I did end up eating most of my main course though before taking the obligatory blogger picture but I remembered before diving into my pudding (Triple Chocolate Brownie).

Enjoying - a couple of cakes my parents bought us; one was Scary and the other was Spooky!

Hobbling - around the house and garden practising walking in my boot brace.

Reading - Mollie Makes and Homemaker magazine. I do love the knitted baubles on the front cover so when I get some wool I think I'll have a go at those.

Missing - going to watch Bridgwater Carnival on Saturday evening (the first time I've missed the procession since 1987, boo hiss). Where we park our car and where we stand to watch the parade are quite far apart so we decided it was probably a bit much, 48 hours after I was out of plaster. We are off to watch it at Burnham on Sea tonight though - yay!

Building - the shed for Andrew's lorry. His dad and a mate came round on Saturday and both dads were here on Sunday so they got the pillars and the roof section done by Sunday evening.

  2. It's a shame you forgot the main course, but it's the dessert that's most important, right?!

This weekend was low key, but looking forward to this weekend, well Friday mostly because it's our little one's first birthday!

  3. I should really think about buying some craft magazines. I used to buy them a few years ago but then I kept forgetting - I'll have to track down Mollie Makes - that one looks good! :)
