This month's photo an hour challenge was chosen by Jane last month and fell on Sunday 19th April.
9am - A bit of morning reading before breakfast with a rather {ahem} intriguing character.
10am - While breakfast was cooking (sausages and potato & cheese patty thingies) we made a morning tipple (tea for me and coffee for him).
11am - Breakfast over and done with and it was time to decide which bit of housework to do first. The weather outside looked nice but was darn windy!
12pm - I might, just possibly, have not actually cleaned my dressing table for a month or two. First job of the day then ended up being cleaning the bedrooms.
1pm - Cleaning was my job but Andrew's was shimmying up a ladder and fitting a burglar alarm box to the side of the house.
2pm - Bedrooms cleaned and it was on to the bathrooms (never a nice job really).
3pm - The in-laws popped round to see how Andrew was getting on and we stopped for tea and biscuits, meaning that I missed the 3pm slot by about 45 minutes!
4pm - More washing, more cleaning.
5pm - Time to stop for a bit and browse t'interweb.
6pm - Andrew pulled me outside to see the result of all his hard work!
7pm - Then it was on to dinner, checking on the potatoes we'd chucked in the oven a bit earlier.
8pm - Roast chicken and all the veg for dinner with plenty of gravy, of course.
9pm - More food but this time putting together our packed lunches for Monday (cheese sandwiches and a hot cross bun).
10pm - And to bed, catching up with Portillo's State Secrets on BBC's iPlayer (although the episode about Jack the Ripper probably wasn't quite the best choice just before bedtime...).
16 lovely people joined in this month and a big thank you to everyone who took part or joined in the fun on the day by commenting on Twitter or Instagram!
So who did we have then?

I hope I've managed to include everyone, I'll update the list as and when blog posts appear but give me a shout if you took part and I haven't included you. If your blog post goes live at a later date, that's absolutely fine, just let me know and I'll pop you in.
Next month I'm going to go with Saturday 23rd May - it's the Bank Holiday weekend so I thought that might a good date to pick. Pop it in your diaries and I'll also tweet everyone the day before as a reminder - see you then!
Also, check out what I was up to in...
I was intrigued by that novel - in many ways I had hoped to reallylove it but then I think it started to grate on me!
ReplyDeleteIs that 'Look Who's Back' you're reading? I'll be interested to hear what you thought of it when you finish reading it; I've heard mixed reviews on it.
ReplyDeleteYou had a busy day on Sunday! I love your choice of date for next time .. I'll be on day one of a photography workshop in Anglesey so hopefully will have a bit more scope for some interesting photos.
I think I already said, but I've still to write up my photo-an-hour post. The plan is always to publish them on Mondays but as it was a Sunday one, I didn't get a chance to put it together on Sunday haha!
ReplyDeleteI do hate deciding to clean the bathroom but I do find it the most rewarding looking room after it has been cleaned though!
I started Sunday reading in bed too!

ReplyDeleteYou are so good doing all that cleaning....and cooking too. Looking forward to the next one!
ReplyDeleteI had to work for most of the day so I didn't join in this time around. Nobody wants to see identical pictures of a computer screen.
ReplyDeleteI like your 3pm shot. Yum.
Hope to join you next time :)
I love it can I join in next time? x
ReplyDeleteI've joined in! My blog post is going live tomorrow :) Looks like a typical Sunday to me- mine involved cleaning and cooking too!!! x
ReplyDeleteI love having a nosey at these posts - so intriguing to see what a typical day in the life of another blogger looks like!

That photo of potatoes is making me really hungry! I have the Hitler book on my to read list, just waiting for my library reservation to arrive, so I'll be interested to see what you thought of it.
