The other half's guest post - three music videos on a theme...
(inspired by Desmond Carrington's 'The Music Goes Round')
'Ami E 120' 1953 Jukebox
This weeks theme is...Happy Birthday to Me!
Inspired by my birthday on Friday this week, so here's three of my favourite jukebox songs.
1. Have I The Right by The Honeycombs
Produced by the infamous producer, Joe Meek, the stamping sound on the record was created by banging brooms on a floor!
'Have I The Right' entered the chart on 23rd July 1964 reaching Number 1.
2. Those Were The Days by Mary Hopkin
My mum used to have a musical jewellery box which played this tune - I listened to it rather a lot as a child.
'Those Were The Days' entered the chart on 4th September 1968 reaching Number 1.
3. The Swiss Maid by Del Shannon

A cautionary tale, yodelling and um pah pahs? Oh yes...
'The Swiss Maid' entered the chart on 11th October 1962 reaching Number 2.
Happy listening!
