We have mostly been...
Remembering - one of Andrew's friends from steam rally world who passed away a couple of weeks ago. He wasn't even an old chap, just in his fifties but he was diagnosed with cancer in August and was gone by November. You can't really say funerals are fun but it did bring a smile to everyone's faces because the guy didn't really have any immediate family, just a few cousins and godchildren. They thought about 20 people would turn up and instead you had about 150 (so many that one side of the room was 3 deep in people and there was a queue outside as well). I think they were very impressed that so many steam rally people had taken the time to come and pay their respects.
Shopping - in Yeovil after the funeral where we discovered the local shopping centre were doing free parking on Fridays in the run up to Chistmas - bonus points to them for encouraging shoppers.
Trying - desperately to get my knitted advent bunting finished before December 1st. It hasn't happened, I still need to make another 8 of them.
Fixing - guttering to the side of the lorryport. Andrew spent most of Sunday up a ladder cursing when he kept dropping stuff.
Enjoying - the company of several friends at the first Christmas party of the season. It's turned into a bit of an annual thing, a get-together of all of us locally who own vintage Scammell lorries but having it on the last Saturday in November meant the pub wasn't yet serving their festive menu. Instead, my dinner was gammon steak and chips followed by the most delicious Toblerone cheesecake.

What did you get up to at the weekend?
I like the look of the bunting - fingers crossed you will manage to finish it soon!
