Saturday 21st was the date chosen for February's photo an hour. We had an early start to visit the stonemasons to discuss the details for my parents' headstone. After that we did some sorting in my parents house before visiting my brother, finding a new cake shed and finishing off with chip butties for dinner.

March's photo an hour date was Saturday 22nd. My dad's funeral had been the day before so we had family around from various locations north and south. It wasn't too bad a day weather-wise so we decided on an afternoon stroll along Clevedon seafront, taking in some ice cream, cake and playgrounds.

A Photo Every Hour - Saturday 22nd June 2024

June's photo an hour date fell on Saturday 22nd - and it was a lovely sunny day! One of our local recycling centres recently opened a reuse shop and we had a shopping list of a comfy chair for Lily's bedroom and a bigger scooter for her so we explored there in the morning. We managed to find both items at a relatively good price! £15 for the chair and £3 for the scooter so that wasn't bad at all. In the afternoon we headed over to (what was) my Mum's house to do some sorting, clearing and tidying. And in the evening we visited my Dad in his nursing home and then headed home via some local share & reuse boxes.

A Photo Every Hour - Saturday 20th April 2024

April's photo an hour day was on Saturday 20th. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen that my Mum died on 11th April after both a long illness (a stage 4 cancer diagnosis in 2019) and a short illness (swelling from brain tumours). It was also mine and Andrew's 17th wedding anniversary on 21st April so we thought Saturday 20th would be a good day for a trip to the seaside to both remember my Mum and celebrate 17 years of putting up with each other. We chose Teignmouth in Devon - one of my Mum's favourite seaside towns.

Saturday 20th was the first Photo an Hour day of 2024! We'd promised Lily a day trip for her birthday (which was the next week) and she picked Barry Island as the destination.
