Saturday 19th was the date chosen for April's photo an hour - which was the day before Easter Sunday! We were on holiday in Anglesey and it was a bit of a rainy day.
Here's what the day looked like...
Saturday 19th was the date chosen for April's photo an hour - which was the day before Easter Sunday! We were on holiday in Anglesey and it was a bit of a rainy day.
Saturday 15th was the date chosen for February's photo an hour. My Mum's birthday would have been the week before so we thought it might be nice to remember her by taking a trip to one of her (and our) favourite seaside spots - Teignmouth in Devon. The day started off a bit rainy and grey but by the time we'd headed down the motorway, it brightened up and the sun started to shine!
Saturday 18th January was the first photo an hour date of 2025. We headed out on a day trip for Lily's birthday (which was the following week). She'd requested a local drive thru cafe for breakfast and a visit to the New Forest to see the ponies for the afternoon. We finished the day with a stroll on Bournemouth beach and fish & chip dinner.
The last photo an hour date of 2024 was Saturday 21st December. We went out for my annual birthday day trip to the seaside for hot chocolate and fish & chips in Weymouth.
Saturday 20th was the first Photo an Hour day of 2024! We'd promised Lily a day trip for her birthday (which was the next week) and she picked Barry Island as the destination. We didn't quite expect it to be so cold though! Although we still managed to see the funfair, have some ice cream, find some playgrounds and finish the day with fish & chips.
Saturday 16th December was the final photo an hour date of 2023!
We were away for the weekend at a local holiday park, at a cottage with a hot tub (my birthday present!). It was also Honiton Christmas Carnival in the evening so we headed down to Devon to watch that, picking up some chips and watching some Christmas lights on the way back.
August's photo an hour date was Saturday 19th. We were on our way home from our 3-week road trip around Scotland and that day was a journey from Morecambe to Wrexham including an afternoon play date stop with family in North Wales.
Saturday 15th was the date chosen for April's photo an hour. We'd been on holiday in North Wales for the Easter break and that day we were travelling back home to the South West.
So, how is it October already!? Where has this year gone?
We had quite a nice summer, pretty good weather and we managed to get out and about a fair few times plus do our annual road trip to Scotland and back.
Here's a selection of what's been happening over the last three months:
What have you been up to?
A two month round-up this time, as I didn't get round to actually writing a post at the end of May!
What have you all been up to?
May's photo an hour date was Saturday 21st. It was the other half's birthday a few days previously so we went out for a birthday day trip with his choice of destination being the steam trains at West Somerset Railway!
Here's what the day looked like...
A two month round up this time, mainly because a proportion of 'March and April' were actually spent *not* at the duckpond.
April's photo an hour date was last Saturday, the 23rd. We'd been on holiday for the previous 10 days, up in Anglesey in North Wales and most of the day was spent driving back down to the south west with a few planned pit stops along the way.
So now we're into March, officially Spring!
February was a bit wet and windy down here although there were a few sunny days thrown in. Here's what we got up to...
