A Photo Every Hour - Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th January

January's photo an hour ended up being a bit different. I originally chose Sunday 29th - mainly for selfish reasons as it would be Lily's first birthday party - but Jane's email reminder said Saturday 28th.

So, we gave everyone the choice: Saturday, Sunday or even (as I decided to do), both days!

Here's what the bumper photo an hour weekend looked like...

Saturday 28th January

9am - Morning smiles.

10am - Packing things for a birthday day trip.

11am - On the move.

12pm - Still on the move.

1pm - Picking up some birthday party bits.

2pm - More party prep.

3pm - Sweet potato fries while Andrew was off with Lily at a soft play centre.

4pm - It seems someone rather likes going down slides headfirst!

5pm - Last bit of food shopping for the birthday party.

6pm - On the way home.

7pm - Back home and clearly not worn out just yet.

8pm - Missed 8pm as too busy with party prepping!

9pm - Everything packed and ready for the morning..

Sunday 29th January

9am - Early morning playtime.

10am - Breakfast sizzling away.

11am - Breakfast turned into brunch.

12pm - Quick shower for both me and Lily.

1pm - Setting up things for the party.

2pm - People arriving and starting to enjoy the inflatables and toys.

3pm - When she can't see mum, she's happy to play...

4pm - Party time's over.

5pm - On the way home.

6pm - Lots of birthday presents to open.

7pm - Testing out the birthday cake.

8pm - Cleaning up in the kitchen sink after lots of cake-eating.

9pm - And amazingly she still has energy to play.

10pm - She's finally asleep so we get to catch up on 'Call the Midwife'

Head on over to Jane's blog for a look at what she was up to in January.

A Photo Every Hour - Saturday 23rd July

This month's photo an hour was chosen by me and fell on Saturday 23rd - purely for selfish reasons as I knew we'd be having an interesting day!

Here's what the day looked like...

7am - Morning stretches from our little alarm clock.

8am - Shower time.

9am - A quick feed and then a successful transfer into the car seat!

10am - Helping to set up stalls for a local fun day.

11am - Alfresco playtime with friends.

12pm - Having a go at being the driver of dad's vintage lorry.

1pm - Sleepy time.

2pm - Then a bit of playtime!

3pm - On the road again, off eastwards towards London.

4pm - Essential motorway items.

5pm - Travelodge Dreamer beds make perfect large playmats.

6pm - Off again to go and visit Carter's Steam Fair in West Wycombe.

7pm - Evening dinner at the fair.

8pm - Lily's first ever fairground ride (despite the freaked out look, she did actually enjoy it!)

9pm - Ghost train.

10pm - Fireworks (which Lily also seemed to enjoy!)

11pm - #facesinthings of course...

Jane will be choosing the date for August and doing the round-up of photo an hour-ers so pop over to her blog to take a look...

A Photo Every Hour - Saturday 19th December

December's Photo an Hour challenge fell on the last Saturday before Christmas - the 19th December.

9am - At 35 and half weeks pregnant (almost 37 at the time of writing this post!), my bed is filled with pillows and cushions to prop me up.

10am - Bending over is another thing that's difficult to do whilst pregnant, which conveniently gets me out of filling up the dishwasher!

11am - Trying to finish writing our birth plan (which I imagine will end up being absolutely nothing like what actually happens...)

12pm - Off out to the post office to send off a Christmas present.

1pm - We popped into one of the local butchers to pick up some ham.

2pm - Back home and polishing off the last bits of birthday cake from the previous weekend.

3pm - Muppets!

4pm - Writing some Christmas cards to take along to a Christmas party that evening.

5pm - Party time at a friend's house.

6pm - Obviously the only handbag I could possibly take to any Christmas party.

7pm - Whilst all the adults were gossiping at the party, the kids were having a Nerf gun war...

8pm and 9pm - No pictures as my phone was buried under a pile of coats, we were all too busy talking and I didn't really want to enter into a war zone!

10pm - Just leaving the party.

11pm - A little bit of bedtime reading.

The first date for 2016 will be Saturday 16th January - three days before my due date. Which I imagine could mean one of three things on my Instagram page: either I'll be sat around bored and fed up; at home/hospital in labour (which you probably *don't* want pictures of); or it could be 12 hours of newborn baby spam. I'm taking bets it'll be the first option...
