The Midweek Hop - Happy Father's Day

A weekly musical feature inspired by Desmond Carrington's 'The Music Goes Round'

'Wurlitzer 1400' 1951 Jukebox
'Wurlitzer 1400' 1951 Jukebox

This weeks theme is...Happy Father's Day

Inspired by (suprisingly enough) Father's Day!

1. Eighteen Yellow Roses by Bobby Darin

A daughter will always be daddy's little girl...
'Eighteen Yellow Roses' entered the chart on 25th July 1963 reaching Number 37

2. Daddy Cool by Boney M

Fab song but the video is just 1970's cheese at it's best!
'Daddy Cool' entered the chart on 18th March 1976 reaching Number 6

3. Father and Son by Cat Stevens

The classic father son conversation
'Father and Son' was included on Cat Stevens' 1970 album, 'Tea for the Tillerman' but was never released as a single.

Happy listening!

Thank you very much for all your lovely comments; I do have every intention of replying but sometimes life with a baby gets in the way...
