The Midweek Hop - Don't Get Stressed (National Stress Awareness Day - Day 6)

Day 6 of Rosalilium's blog every day in November challenge
National Stress Awareness Day
(How do you deal with stress? Or maybe you don't?)

The other half's guest post - three music videos on a theme...
(inspired by Desmond Carrington's 'The Music Goes Round')

'Balami I200' 1957 Jukebox

This weeks theme is...Don't Get Stressed

I try not to get too stressed; I tend to do a lot of things in my life to keep me occupied but being married to someone who's had depression on more than one occassion in the past, I know how important it is not to let things get on top of you.
If things are getting too much, please please stop reading this silly blog post and ring The Samaritans on 08457 909090

1. Help by The Beatles

We all need a helping hand at times; don't ever be afraid to ask.
'Help' entered the chart on 29th July 1965 reaching Number 1.

2. Problems by The Everly Brothers

Apparently women can cause no end of stress!
'Problems' entered the chart on 23rd January 1959 reaching Number 6.

3. We Gotta Get Out Of This Place by The Animals

Possibly a song all about the Monday morning 'back-to-work' feeling...
'We Gotta Get Out Of This Place' entered the chart on 15th July 1965 reaching Number 2.

Happy listening!

  1. Love how you themed this post and great music choices too! I too married someone who has suffered from depression and is now actually a mental health social worker so he's certainly helping me in learning how to let things go.

    1. Thanks Rachael! That's really great about your husband, being a mental health social worker must be a very rewarding (if also tiring) career. :-) x

    1. It is a good track, isn't it! It sounds great on a jukebox played out loud :-) x

  3. As someone with mood instability I had to simplify my life. And you're right, we must not let stress take its toll on us.

    1. Absolutely, it's really important not to let things get on top of you and sometimes just changing a few small things can make a huge difference. :-) x
