This Weekend at the Duckpond

We have mostly been...

Participating - in Jane's Photo an Hour challenge for May. Full round-up to come tomorrow!

Weeding - flowers borders in the front and back garden. I've been really lazy and let them get quite overgrown so lots and lots of thinning was needed, along with moving some bulbs from the front to the back. Hopefully when it all starts flowering it will look quite good!

Fitting - paving slabs. Well, Andrew's been doing all the hard work, altering the driveway and making a new flower border but it does look quite good (and fits the purpose of needing to drive a lorry up it!). We've made a new border as well so a trip to a garden centre is definitely needed.

Ordering - things for the house from Ikea. After deciding what wardrobes and sofa we wanted, we were going to order them back in March but the delivery date didn't quite fit with when we were free and then we just kept forgetting. Finally though, we've placed an order for a load of stuff and it should be arriving at the beginning of July!

Arranging - a new flower pot in the garden. Andrew painted up an old engine block from a Scammell lorry, the plants in it are only a temporary arrangment but I think it'll look quite nice once it's planted up properly.

Spotting - Mr Bee getting some action!

    1. Haha, you're probably right! (no-one else's other half would be silly enough to hoard bits of old lorries!) :-) xx
