January Happiness

Five things which have made me smile this month...

1. Preparing several meals for the freezer ready for when I might not feel like cooking during our IVF treatment. At the moment there's four portions of Cheese and Bacon Lasagne and two portions of Ham, Leek and Sweet Potato Pie squirreled away.

2. My new toaster!

3. A lovely day out with LilySJ and lots of new blogging girlies at the Bristol Blogger Meet - and a suprising amount of samples and gifts.

4. The fact that I've now been taking my IVF drugs for 3 weeks and so far (touch wood) I haven't had any of the really nasty side effects. A bit of tiredness, a few minor headaches and a couple of hot flushes but nothing (thankfully) that bad.

5.  This guy at Frome tonight. It's about the fourth time we've seen him live and he's just amazingly funny - definitely worth seeing live!

  1. "Lazy meals" that you can just pull out of the freezer are awesome. I'm glad to hear that you're not experiencing bad side effects from all the IVF drugs; I'd take that as a jolly good sign!

    1. Thanks Angela! I have to keep saying to myself that it's a good sign (as there's a teensy tiny bit of my brain that keeps saying 'that means it hasn't worked properly...")
Time will tell over the next few weeks :-) xx

  2. That lasagne looks SO delicious! I'm just going to ignore the fact it's full of bacon :p Glad to hear that the IVF drugs are going ok so far - will keep my fingers crossed for you that the side effects continue to stay away! xxx

    1. Thanks Katie! Just imagine it's a cheese and veg lasange - actually I'm sure that would work just as well :-)
Most of the side effects seem to have stayed away so far, I've only had a few minor things like feeling tired all the time - it'll all be over one way or another in a couple of weeks anyway! :-) xxx
