This Weekend at the Duckpond

We have mostly been...

Holidaying - with Andrew and my lovely sister-in-law at her coastal home in Cornwall.
Suprisingly the sun decided to make an appearance as well!

Newquay sun and beaches

Saturday daytime was spent wandering around Newquay town centre, thrifting in charity shops and a craft market in the Methodist church, and enjoying a Cornish pasty in the sunshine.

Wheal Coates mine coastal footpath

Saturday evening was spent watching the sunset along the coast path to Chapel Porth cove past the old disused engine houses of Wheal Coates mine.

Picnic at Kynance Cove

And Sunday was spent walking from The Lizard to Kynance Cove, with a picnic in the sun at the beach.
Complete with silly picture to prove we actually did take a picnic...

I'll post a better account of our sunny Cornish weekend later in the week - as tomorrow evening me, my sister in law, my friend M and her other half will all be having a fabulous time at the Eden Project watching comedy legend Eddie Izzard!

What did you get up to at the weekend?

    1. Cornwall is lovely, and even better when it's sunny weather! :-)

I never realised before, but yes, we do seem to keep going on trips everywhere!

And we've got several more things planned for the rest of the summer - Glastonbury Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Great Dorset Steam Fair and I'm going to try and fit in a trip to Weymouth on the South Coast to go swimming in the sea :-) x
